Racing with TASC

"There is nothing - absolutely nothing - half so much worth doing as simply messing about in boats."

Racing sailboats at TASC is not an end to itself, but a way to enjoy the company of other sailors and learn from each other. We take fellowship, sportsmanship and the Corinthian spirit of sailing seriously and do not tolerate "win at all cost" attitudes.

This doesn't mean that an experienced racer cannot find some good competition. Our membership spans the full range of experience levels- from expert to newcomer - so you will be in good company no matter what your skill level is. Our courses are generally short enough that there are always boats nearby and you won't feel "left out". Come out and give it a try!

Opportunities are available to learn all that is needed to participate -on the water as well as in the classroom. TASC uses the winter season to periodically organize "Rules Seminars" and "Boatspeed Seminars" to help members get the most out of their boats on the course.
