Directions to Area Lakes / TASC Sailing Venues

To Horseshoe Lake, AR

• Take I-40  west across the Miss. river about 5 1/2 miles to exit 271.
• Go south on AR-147 for 2.6 miles, cross the RR tracks and continue another 7.7 miles to the intersection with AR-50. Continue straight on AR-147; do not follow AR-50 to the right.
• Follow AR-147 south another 6 miles and drive through Thompson Grove (Just past "Bond's" convenience store) to another fork in the road..
• Take AR-131 to the left; do not follow AR-147 to the right.
• Less than a quarter mile past the left turn, go right onto a narrow road that crosses the field (it is sometimes hard to see, so go slow)
• Just before you go into the trees, there is a grassy trailer parking lot - directly past it is the ramp (WATCH OUT FOR THE POWER LINES!)
• Make sure that you have $7.00 in exect change with you for the ramp fee - the "Kamp Karefree" restaurant has closed, so the nearest place that makes change is Bond's convenience store.
