Why doesn't TASC race in the Summer?

It is not practical for us to schedule races for the entire year, so we race when the weather is best for it - when we get the most "bang for our buck". In Memphis, that's in the Spring and Fall. Not only is it cooler, but the wind is much better in these seasons. In fact, in addition to stifling heat, there is usually little or no wind in the Summer months in the mid-south. However, several TASC members like to gather at Patriot on Thursday nights in the Summer for fun sailing and casual racing in what we call the "TNT" (Thursday Night Thing). The "Discussion Forum" is used as a clearing house for these events. Please post a message when you think you might want to go out there - other TASCers may respond and come out to the lake if they know you will be out there.
