What is a "Skippers Meeting"?

At the start of each race day (at the time listed in the schedule) we all get together to discuss such things as: 1) where the buoys (marks) will be set, 2) where the starting line will be, 3) what signals will be used, 4) what the course will be, 5) whether we will be using a Rabbit Start, etc. The Sailing Instructions list all the items that should be discussed, however, we usually keep things relatively short, hitting only the relevant points.
